Friday Favorites

I swear we are going to start posting more regularly again soon, but until then, thanks for hanging out. But more importantly, helloooo Spring. Baby comes in May and I can’t wait to be not pregnant, although as my mother likes to remind me, it’s a whole lot easier when they are in than when they are out. Absolutely true but this pregnancy has been hard on my bod and I can’t wait to be done. Anyways, here our favorites from the week; so looking forward to the sunshine and spending more time outside!

Spring Shoes

I’m really not buying any clothing, or trying not to even though I want all the spring and summer things, but realistically I have no idea what will fit me except for shoes. So I’m buying shoes and there are so many spring and summer sneakers, slides and sandals I am loving.

Sneakers: Neutral Veja Sneakers or Pink Campo Veja Sneakers , Loeffler Randall Rainbow or Veja V-10 Sneakers

White Slides: The real Gucci deal or the good dupes

Sandals: I know I am going to live in my Birkenstocks (here and here) this summer – I highly recommend both pairs – so comfortable and easy but I also want a fun pair of slides for when I make it out of the house.

After School Egg Snack/Treat Hunts

My kids are obsessed with Easter (AKA: hunting for eggs). So I broke out the Easter eggs last week while Chris was out of down for a week on his Dad-achelor party (yes it’s true and I some how agreed to it). I highly recommend hiding after school snacks in eggs around the house. The kids absolutely love it and it’s a great time-suck for my very pregnant self. I do treats and snacks (think cheez its, gold fish, cereal, mini cookies, jelly beans, chocolate chips, fruit snacks) but you could healthier options too. After the boys find all of their eggs, they dump their eggs out on a plate and enjoy (while I sit).

Also if you don’t have this egg decorating spinner tool, I HIGHLY recommend. The boys love it and it’s so much easier than dying eggs.

Megan’s New Sweater

I saw this sweater a weeks ago and tagged it, but again I’m not trying to buy clothes, but then when I asked Megan if she had any new favorites, she sent me a picture of herself in it :).

Non-alcoholic beverages

I am counting down the days until I can sit on a lawn chair and sip an Aperol spritz with a sleeping baby (ie. screaming) baby next to me but until then these non-alcoholic beverages I’ve found are helping me survive. Chris even likes them and drinks them instead of grabbing a beer for himself on a weeknight. My favorites are Partake Pale Ale (only 10 calories and super refreshing), Lagunitas Hoppy Refresher Sparkling Water ( I LOVE THESE also available at Trader Joes), HOPLARK Sparkling Hop Tea, and Ritual Zero Proof Tequila (makes a very refreshing spicy margarita mocktail). Try them!
