Toddler Bath Time Ideas
After a very rainy few days, Chris out of town for the week, and extra long baths for the boys everyday – I realized toddler bath time deserves a post! Bath time has a lot of potential… even more so during this pandemic! The water, bubbles, and contained kids make for a no mess, easy and fun activity! So here it is… all the items I’ve purchased and what we do to make bath time more fun and take up WAY more time (ESPECIALLY on rainy miserable days when there is nothing else to do).
Bath Crayons – These are always a hit. Just draw on the tub and it washes right off. I find that the crayons work much better than the markers.
DUPLO Lego Bath – The legos get a bath too! Aka the legos come in the bath and either get scrubbed down or just played with – usually a little of both. Dry easily on a towel afterwards or stay in the bath for weeks.
Popsicle Bath – This was Chris’s idea to contain the popsicle mess well before Jack was in the picture. It’s now a regular in our house. Even the big cousins still get in on popsicle baths.
Shaving Cream Bath – They rub it on themselves, on the bath tub, and just about everywhere. If I don’t have the kid shaving cream that I linked, Dad’s shaving cream works too. (And this is shaving in the tub kit is too cute)
Bath Tub Finger Paint – Similar to the shaving cream, the boys rub this stuff everywhere and always have fun with the different colors.
Bath bombs and water tablets – there are so many fun kid bath bombs and they never seem to get old! Joe would use 5 every bath if he could. Super hero, unicorns, animals, and even the regular ones without a toy or water tablets that change the water colors to the trick.
Car Wash – Throw a few tooth brushes and some hot wheels into the bath and let them get to work. My boys like to use the finger-paint soap for their car washes.
And we can’t forget BUBBLES and bath toys of course – here are a few fun ones: Number and Alphabet Set, Shark Grabber , Fishing, and this Ferry Boat.
Also, a babe in an Otteroo is just about the cutest thing ever. He’s too big now but I recommend if you have a little one!
Happy Friday! I hope these bath time ideas help you pass the time on those extra long days. I just reordered most of the items above for stocking stuffers!
