Favorite Inexpensive Skin Care
I have never been one to spend a ton on my skin care products. I feel like I can find some great things without spending a fortune. So, if you are anything like me, check out a few of my favorite products as of late that bring my tired mom face back to life.
Have you heard of the ACURE brand? I started using the ACURE line when I was pregnant with Jack. It is a natural line of skin care that Sarah Adler of Simply Real Health recommended. I was looking for something “clean” while pregnant and ACURE checked that box at a great price point. I’ve used a bunch of their products since but the Brightening Super Greens Serum and Brightening Night Cream are my favorite. I am also seeing it pop up everywhere now… even Met Market is carrying it!
My friend just introduced me to tanning drops. I’m pretty sure I’m way behind the times when it comes to these things but Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops are amazing. I just had 2 or 3 drops to my moisturizer if I’m wanting a little glow and it works wonders. Go get them!
I had a facial at Gene Jaurez University Village a bit ago and my Facialist recommended a new brand that Target is carrying. But, before I tell you about it, have you had a spa treatment at Gene Juarez University Village? I was expecting to just pop in and out, no big deal… but to my surprise it was a full blown spa treatment. Foot soak and rub, brought me a drink, snacks, neck warmer… the whole deal. It turned out to be quite a lovely Tuesday morning. Anyways, Heather, my Facialist, recommended Sandra Lee MD (SLMD) products at Target. Remember Dr. Pimple Popper? Or those videos on social media of someone popping the massive pimples? Well, that is Sandra Lee, MD, aka Dr Pimple Popper, a board-certified dermatologist, skin cancer surgeon, and cosmetic surgeon.Who knew? Not me. I have been using the Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Salicylic Acid Spot Treatment and I love them both.
The last skin care product I love is Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap. Dr. Bronner’s isn’t exactly inexpensive for soap, but my family puts all over our bodies every day so I think it’s worth it. I use the peppermint, which actually tingles and clears your sinuses, and I buy the Baby Unscented for the boys. It’s crazy how much crap most soaps and baby soaps have in them; Dr. Bronner’s doesn’t!
