Favorite Breweries

It’s Chris’s birthday today! So naturally we kicked off his birthday weekend last night at one of our favorite local spots: Burke-Gilman Brewing. We love a good a beer around here and usually end up at one of our favorite breweries at some point over the weekend. There are so many kid and dog-friendly breweries nearby with great outdoor spaces that make for a fun family outing – especially when we can walk or bike to them. We biked to Fremont Brewery last weekend and it was so fun! Our kids even ask to go the brewery (haha); probably because they usually have kid’s milks, lollipops and/or popsicles (before Covid a lot of our favorite breweries even had toys and little play areas but I’m not sure those days will ever be back). So with all of that being said, we thought we would round up a list of our favorite breweries for you, both near and far, so if you find yourself craving a beer or looking for something to do you have this to refer to! And for any non-beer drinkers, most of these places offer ciders and even wine!

Burke-Gilman Brewing – our favorite! Hit the taco truck and grab a beer.

Ravenna Brewing Co – another local spot. It’s pretty busy these days so get there early if you can!

Fremont Brewing – a large updated covid-friendly outdoor space with tons of seating.

Magnuson Brewery – you can’t beat the view of Lake Washington and it also offers a tasty menu of it’s own.

Lagunitas Brewing Company – a HUGE space in Ballard with amazing beer.

Reuben’s Brews – if we ever make it to Ballard, we usually make a stop here.

Georgetown Brewing Co – cool venue in South Seattle

Dru Bru (Snoqualmie Pass) – a great stop on your way over the pass with fire pits and a ton of covid-friendly outdoor seating. A food truck and the neighbor restaurant offer tasty bites.

Dru Bru (Cle Elum) – a favorite outing when we are in Suncadia or on our way to Lake Chelan with the best snack mix you’ll ever have.

Happy Friday! We hope you get to enjoy a tasty one in the sun this weekend!
