Favorite Things of 2020

Happy November! We had brunch with our cousin/dear friend Katie over the weekend and were chatting about what we were going to do for our Favorite Things Tea this year. Every holiday season the women in our family get together for a “Favorite Things Tea”. It’s an event I look forward to every holiday season where everyone brings some of their favorite things, gifts are exchanged, and everyone leaves with a number of gifts equal to what they brought! We still aren’t sure what our tea will look like this year given COVID, BUT it did get us thinking about all of our favorite things from 2020! So, if you are anything like us, and want to start your holiday shopping, here are some of our favorite things from the year or items that have been shared at our teas in the past few years. These are all items we would love to receive and/or favorites we plan to give to friends and family!

MakeUp Eraser // Target All In Motion Seamless Sports Bra // Yeti mugs // Phone Case // Dazzle Dry Nail System // Aerie Weekend Joggers and Oversized Hoodie // Batiste Dry Shampoo // Scrunchies // Boochcraft

Yeti mugs – I gave this mug as my favorite thing last year, and it’s still my favorite thing this year. If you know, you know (unless you’re my husband and think it keeps your coffee “too hot”). Megan now brings a yeti mug with her when she travels if that says anything…

Dazzle Dry Nail System – My aunt’s favorite thing last year and I just recently started using it; the best at home, quick, fast drying nail system that doesn’t chip and looks like it was done at a salon. I am hooked.

Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops – Clean self tanning drops that you just add to your moisturizer. So easy and makes me feel like I just spent a few days in Maui gettin sun-kissed.

Phone Case – Consolidating my phone, credit cards and I.D. was a game changer. Maybe its just me, but keeping track of my phone and a separate wallet or card holder post kids was just a struggle. Now anytime we go anywhere, I only have to make sure I have my phone because everything else I need is with it and it makes SUCH a difference.

Highwaist Hanky Pankies – My cousin’s favorite item from last year – soo much better to have the high waisted hankies with all of the high waisted pants these days.

Aerie Bralettes – I don’t wear real bras anymore. I wear these.

Aerie Weekend Joggers and Oversized Hoodie – My favorite sweats since really investing in my sweatsuit collection after COVID hit. So comfy and high quality. Highly recommend.

Scrunchies – I don’t know what it is, but these are the best. I’m bummed if I am wearing leopard elsewhere on my body because then I feel like I can’t wear my favorite scrunchies. Haha – not kidding.

Batiste Dry Shampoo – My future sister-in-law introduced me to this and it is the best. Smells amazing and really does the job. Highly recommend.

MakeUp Eraser – Megan’s favorite. I still need to get one – it manages to get off even the most stubborn mascara with just water!

Target All In Motion Seamless Sports Bra – Megan discovered this Target sports bra this year and she says they are the most comfortable.

Mac Creme in my Coffee Lipstick // Cravings by Chrissy Tiegen // Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops //Amazon sunglasses // True Comfort // Aerie Bralettes // Modern Comfort Food // Highwaist Hanky Pankies

Amazon sunglasses – My Amazon sunglasses (like these, these, and these) have been some of my favorite purchases this year… and I’ve ordered a lot! In this phase of my life, when my kids grab my sunglasses and they regularly hit the floor, I want sunglasses that look designer but are at the price point that I could care less if and when they do hit the floor.

Boochcraft – When I think 2020, Boochcraft it is truly one of my favorite findings. Is that sad? Perhaps, but I love it. I’m not giving away what my official favorite thing is this year, but this is way up there on the list. Try the Spiced Pear – the perfect drink for this time of year.

Mac Creme in my Coffee Lipstick – My Mom brought this as her favorite item a few years ago. I still love and wear it regularly; truly a neutral shade that looks good on everyone! She discovered from Hoda on the Today Show :).

Cookbooks – Favorite thing teas are where I have discovered some of my favorite cookbooks over the years. I always love receiving a pretty new cook book – either the latest and greatest or a classic.

The Spaghett– Megan packaged up Happy Hour aka her favorite cocktail of 2019 and it was too cute!
