Logan’s Dino-Mite 1st Birthday

We attended my friend Tanna’s daughter’s first birthday party this last weekend and the event was just too cute not to share. I LOVED the dinosaur theme for a little girl’s first birthday – so CUTE and different! From the theme to decor to serving dinner and treats from my two favorite places in Cashmere, I am requesting Tanna throws my next party and showing you all the DINO-MITE details below.

First things first, we walked up to the party and were greeted by the cutest entry sign with dinosaur footprints leading us into the celebration. Tanna made the sign herself (!) by tracing the invitation with THIS contraption. I had no idea such a thing existed and just really love that Tanna owns one for such purposes.

The rest of the decor was adorable and coordinated with the entry sign perfectly. Everywhere you looked there were mini dinos and big dinos (spray painted to match the color scheme) palm leaves, my favorite giant balloons plus a RAWR balloon display and a custom DIY Balloon garland from Etsy (a great way to stick with your color scheme). Rawr!

Like I mentioned above, Tanna served take out from my TWO favorite Cashmere joints. For dinner, she offered a smorgasbord of meats from Country Boys BBQ that any carnivore would love. In my humble opinion, it is the tastiest barbecue around so I was pretty excited about the chicken thighs, pulled pork, ribs, potato salad, coleslaw and the tastiest chips (which they call fries btw). YUM. We stop every time in route to Chelan and grab take out for dinner. You might have seen me mention it on Instagram a time or two ;). Tanna served the chips in white berry baskets and the barbecued meats in Kraft paper food trays lined with deli paper sheets. She also offered COVID and kid friendly appetizers like fruit and cheese cups and veggie and dip cups.

In addition to Logan’s homemade smash cake and the cutest dinosaur dirt cups for the little party guests, Tanna served cookies from Anjou Bakery. Anjou is my other favorite place to stop in Cashmere for lattes with homemade almond milk, sandwiches, the tastiest pastries and of course cookies. The spread was equally delicious as it was adorable!

As thank you treats, Tanna made the bigger kids individual goodie bags with dinosaur sunglasses, bubble gum tape (remember these?!) that blew Joe’s mind, dino cookie cutters and play-doh AND they got to pick out a dinosaur from the dinosaur cage! For the little kids she wrapped up the book Never Touch A Dinosaur – Jack’s favorite kind of book! (BTW there are a bunch of these Touch and Feel books and we love them; so great for the little ones)

While it was a very small gathering, all family except for me haha, we all had SO much fun. Jack discovered how much he loves ball pits (which reminds me I want to order him one), I found my new favorite drink, Joe discovered bubble gum tape AND made a new friend that happens to be his twin! Thanks to my sweet friend Tanna for all the goodies and for giving me this cute party to blog about!
