Our Favorite Pajamas
Comfortable and cute is always the goal for pajamas, right? We are currently sitting in Suncadia in our matching Nordstrom moonlight pajamas drinking our coffee with no complaints. I think we have all found ourselves in pajamas/loungewear more this year than any other time we can remember. Even with all of the extra loungewear we have been buying the past year, we still think these are softest most comfortable and cutest pajamas that don’t break the bank. Mother’s day is just around the corner and every mama could use a new set of cute and comfy PJs (and a whoooole lot of other things). Here are our very favorites: Nordstrom…

Our two Favorite Breakfast Casseroles & a little Easter Recap
What a wonderful weekend it was! Multiple egg hunts, lots of treats, family, mimosas, food and even a little sunshine. Just how we like it! We spent Saturday in Suncadia with Chris’s family; Suncadia puts on the best Easter egg hunt and festivities. If you get the chance to spend Easter over there, I highly recommend it. It’s the largest Easter egg hunt I’ve seen (separated by age), adult beverages, the Easter bunny, toys for the kids and more. The Easter bunny will also come visit you at your house! Sunday my mom hosted her annual Easter Brunch and it never disappoints. I mean any brunch that includes a beer,…

Our Favorite March Purchases
Happy April! I see a lot of bloggers share their most loved purchases or “top-sellers” over the past month and I find it helpful! So that being said, here are some of Megan and my favorite purchases from the last month or so. It’s a very random collection of things but we hope you love them as much as we do! Kiss Glue on False Nails. I am obsessed! I had to take my last pair off (the matte blue pair linked and pictured) – they stayed on for almost 2 weeks! And look so good! I recommend getting the short length or else they are way too long for…

Easter Menu Inspiration
What are you making your bunnies for Easter? Have you finalized your menu for your Easter celebration yet? Our mom asked us to bring Chrissy Teigen’s Everything Bagel Cream Cheese Breakfast Bake (recipe available here) to our family’s annual egg hunt but I haven’t decided what other Easter goodies I will be hauling to Redmond with me yet. As I was searching my Pinterest, Instagram, and iPhone pictures for recipe inspiration, I also came across these gems from past Easters that I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share. And, now that I have stopped crying…. back to Easter menu planning. Here are some Easter menu options we made…

Easter Treat Mix
You should make it – every bunny will love it. It’s so delicious, super easy and festive – the perfect thing to bring to Easter Sunday at your parents or serve at your own Easter brunch. Or package in cellophane bags and give away to friends and family this week before you eat it all. Our first batch is gone (it went a little too quickly) but I’ll be making a second for this weekend’s Easter festivities. Make it your own with different Easter candies and treats – the kids will love to help! INGREDIENTS 4 cups Corn Chex Cereal 2 cups Pretzel Sticks 1 cup Dry Roasted Salted Peanuts 1 (16 ounce) package…

What’s Up, Doc?
We are just over week out from Easter and apparently have carrots on the brain because today’s post is all about CARROT JUICE. A carrot juice cocktail and a carrot juice pasta because, if you are going to buy carrot juice, you may as well buy the big bottle. Your eyes (and taste buds) will thank you! In the past, we have tended to post a cocktail or a pasta recipe on Fridays. Both seem like a celebratory way to kickoff the upcoming weekend. So we have really upped the ante by featuring a cocktail and a pasta in this post. Maybe should have saved this one for Good Friday…

Kids Easter Basket Ideas
Anyone else feel like Easter came out of nowhere?!?! Up until Monday night of this week, I was totally unprepared. Think the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland running around with his stopwatch, “Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!” Our Easter Bunny’s baskets were literally totally empty. The good news; however, is we are not too late! On Monday, all the items I selected were still available and able to be delivered and/or picked up prior to April 4th. So, hop on it (pun absolutely intended)! Both Sam and Emma recently made VIP Posters for school. On their posters, Sam picked gardening as his favorite activity and…

Perfect Spring Recipes from our weekend in Cashmere, WA.
We spent the weekend in Eastern Washington with our dear friends who moved to Cashmere a few years ago. I have a soft spot for the tiny town of Cashmere because my grandfather was raised there and there is so much family history; I love that we have friends there that give us a great reason to be able to visit! We had the best time with amazing meals and tasty new beverages – so much so that they needed to be documented here. Our friends, Ryan and Tanna, made and served us two different salads – a taco salad (that I’m officially re-naming “Nacho Average Taco Salad”) for dinner…

Don’t pinch me! I have all the Green things for you
It’s St. Patricks day so we didn’t feel right about writing a post that wasn’t somewhat on theme for the holiday – AKA GREEN! Do you know why you’re even supposed to wear green on St. Patty’s day in the first place? Well, I didn’t until my Stanford graduate lawyer of a sister sent me this article: wearing green symbolizes Irish Republicanism, a movement from the 18th century that campaigned for Ireland becoming an independent republic. As for the St. Patricks day pinching rule, apparently leprechauns can’t see green, so if you aren’t wearing green you get pinched – because that’s what leprechauns do… I guess? Not surprisingly, there is…

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Week
We kicked off St. Patrick’s Day Week in our households with a rainbow scavenger hunt! Special thanks to @kelseynixon for the idea. It was a hit with Sam, Emma and Joe! Jack, on the other hand wasn’t all that interested until the chocolate “gold” coins were discovered. Just pick some rainbow colored objects in your house, get creative with coordinating construction paper and clues (e.g., “A delicious berry named after its color and picked by Sal in one of your favorite books”) and send your children on a ROY G. BIV-themed hunt. Extra points for a pot of gold (e.g. leftover Hanukkah gelt) at the end of the rainbow, i.e.…
