Par-Tee Time

We spent a kid-free weekend in Suncadia celebrating Chris’ birthday with a few of our dear friends and it was a Par-Tee. Here are all the fun things we did to take your typical Suncadia cabin weekend up a notch:

We had Happy Hour at the Coal Shoot Cafe and Pub in Roslyn and then Meat Mike barbequed steaks from Owen’s Meats (Michael’s favorite place) for dinner. Two must stops the next time you find yourself in Suncadia!

Saturday morning we woke up early for a Mexican Breakfast Casserole before heading out on a 5 mile walk around Suncadia.

Naturally our long walk was followed by a Champagne and Cheese Tasting Lunch. I didn’t get very particular about the champagne and cheese pairings but simply looked up what cheeses pair well with Champagne (Swiss, gouda, gorgonzola, parmesan) and let friends decide for themselves what paired best. I also served smoked salmon and salami to make it a little heartier for the men but they still complained it wasn’t a real lunch.

After many games of ping pong and before heading out to dinner at the Brick, we did a quick blind Dad Juice aka Hard Seltzer Juice Tasting. Mango White Claw won by a long shot. The Brick had a live Johny Cash cover band playing and it was SO fun! Remember live music?!

Sunday morning we stopped at Basecamp Books for a delicious breakfast and then home to our boys! Such a successful Par-tee! Hope you all had a great weekend!
