Backyard on a Budget

If you’ve been following us on Instagram, you may know that I (Mallory) had the exterior of our house painted this week. The painting project is just finishing up and it looks so much better – I love it! We chose Shermin-Williams Peppercorn (a dark grey blue), Alabaster White trim, and Bathe Blue for our front door. Now that we have a fresh coat of paint and Summer is just around the corner, I am excited to refresh my front porch, back deck and backyard! Unfortunately painting isn’t cheap which means I am on an extra tight budget for any other outdoor upgrades I want to make. So while I’d love to buy everything from Serena and Lily (and move into one of their catalogs), that clearly isn’t in the budget. BUT thanks to the one and only Target, I can recreate that Serena and Lily timeless blue and white vibe at a fraction of the cost.

(1) Pottery Barn Classic White Adirondack Chair – We already own 2 sets of these chairs and love having them on our front deck! Now I want a set of either side table below to go with them…

(2) Outdoor Side Table

(3) Ceramic Blue and White Side Table

(4) White Wicker Stacking Patio Chair – We already own these as well and are having our wood outdoor table painted white to go with them

(5) Buffalo Plaid Outdoor Rug // Staccato Navy Outdoor Rug – Ordering one of these for our back deck to go under our freshly painted white table and wicker chairs

(6) Outdoor Throw Pillow – I love these for both my front deck and back porch.. I also have the classic Pottery Barn striped pillows.

(7) It’s Always Happy Hour Doormat – I love a fun doormat… Adding this one to my collection for the Summer (I own this one too)

(8) Cafe Lights – I want to hang these around our back deck – our neighbor has them and its so fun seeing them in the evening.

(9) Navy Umbrella – I love this festive umbrella for extra sunny days and it looks practically identical to the Serena and Lily umbrella.

(10) 4 pc Wicker Patio Conversation Set – I really want a little seating area in our back yard. Our back porch is raised (where our dining table and chairs are) so it would be really nice to have a place to sit down on the grass where the kids play.

(Not pictured) Outdoor Bar – Not pictured because it’s not happening in this backyard refresh, but one day…
