Trucks and Treats: Happy Birthday Jack!

Jack is two! And we celebrated with this two favorite things: trucks and treats.

Where

Even Keel Roadhouse in Lake Chelan. A kid-friendly low key spot that serves beer and wine, delicious pizza and has a great grassy area for lawn games and live music! Check it out next time you are in Chelan.

Party Decor

Thank you Target for the cutest collection of transportation party supplies and thank you Megan for finding them! Can you dig it?

Treats

Construction zone dirt cups and chocolate milks for the kids and gluten-free peanut butter chocolate chip cookies for the adults! This is my go to cookie recipe and it is always such a hit! But there are two necessary changes: use milk chocolate chips and top with flaky sea salt right after they bake!

I followed this recipe for our dirt cups and then turned them into little construction zones by topping with boulders and dirt (whoppers and crushed Oreos), mini trucks, and mini shovel dessert spoons! Easily stick the shovel spoons to the top of the dessert cups and straws to the milks with clear adhesive dots. These plastic dessert cups WITH lids are game changers! I used the dessert cups for veggie cups as well! It was so nice to be able to make them in advance and stick the lid on them and not have to worry about it!

Party Bags

I attempted to make party bags that would entertain the kids while the adults were eating pizza and drinking wine. Here’s what when in them:

We had a blast celebrating our little guy! We hope you all had a wonderful long weekend.
