Easter Basket Ideas

Every year our mom hosts a big Easter brunch for our extended family complete with Easter baskets for everyone, a giant Easter egg hunt for the kids and a Beer and Champagne hunt for the adults. Sadly, I think Easter is going to look a little different this year, but we will still surprise the kids with fun baskets and small Easter Egg hunt made pretty easy given that we live right across the street from each other.

Naturally, Megan set a Soccer/Sports theme for Sam and Emma’s Easter baskets and every item in them coordinates with said theme. Me, on the other hand, did not start my shopping with a theme in mind but Jack’s basket ended up working under the “bunny” theme and Joey’s basket falls under “surviving quarantine” haha. If you order soon, hopefully you will still be able to get some things in time for Easter given the super delayed shipping right now.

BIG KID EASTER BASKET

Here are all the fun goodies Megan found for Sam and Emma that coordinate with the Soccer/Sports theme:

Also, this Easter activity book and stuffed bunnies you can warm in the microwave. And, last, because my kids would be seriously disappointed if Pokémon did not make an appearance in their baskets, I researched rabbit-based Pokemon characters and ordered this deck for Sam and Emma featuring Cinderace (a soccer attired bunny Pokemon) in addition to a few bunny-themed individual Pokémon cards (Buneary, Diggersby, Lopunny & Bunnelby). Also, here is what my kids are wearing for Easter this year if we cannot leave the house! Emma this bunny T-shirt with this J.Crew Factory seersucker skirt and Sam this short-sleeve bunny shirt with pink shorts.

BABY EASTER BASKET

Jack is only 9 months old and won’t know the difference so it seems a little silly to buy a ton of things to fill his Easter basket but I can’t help myself; I found a few cute Bunny things that we should be able to get some use out of:

TODDLER EASTER BASKET

Here are the items I purchased for Joey’s Easter basket (and myself really) to help entertain him during this extended period of time at home aka his basket theme “surviving social distancing with a toddler”:

I also ordered the boys these matching pajamas and shirts because why not?

Our Easter treat platter for the kids last year; more to come on what we’ll be eating and drinking this year…

What is the Easter Bunny bringing your kids this year? Hopefully this provides some inspiration!
