Jack-O-Lantern Pizza Making in Suncadia Resort
This past weekend, we had a wonderful time in Suncadia enjoying the beginning of leaf peeping season in almost EIGHTY DEGREE WEATHER. When in Washington State have we ever put sunscreen on our kids in October? Weekend highlights included the Rope Rider Golf Park (free Par-3 course adjacent to Swiftwater Cellars Winery); the small-scale lazy river and whirlpool in the Nelson Farm Pool; making s’mores around our firepit using Reese’s Thins; the amazing pumpkin varietals for purchase at the Suncadia Harvest Festival; and watching the Seahawks win at Dru Bru Brewery in Cle Elum. We kicked off our Suncadia weekend with Jack-O-Lantern pizza making for a fun, seasonally appropriate, festive…

Birthday Wish List
It’s almost October which means it’s almost my birthday so naturally I have a wish list going :). Apparently I’m very into neutrals right now.. Who knew? AND YOU CAN NOW SHOP MY POSTS! We were accepted to rewardStyle and LIKEtoKNOW.it after being denied the first time – haha. I didn’t even know that was possible! This blog has been such a learning curve! If you are new to LIKEtoKNOW.it like I was… here is a quick explanation: One of the main ways bloggers make money from lifestyle blogging is through affiliate links. Now that we have LIKEtoKNOWit, I can use affiliate links to link to the products I’m wearing or…

Apple Picking, Apple Cider Mimosas & Apple Sauce
We took the kids apple picking at Swan Trail Farm in Snohomish this weekend. Can someone tell apple orchards they need to serve apple cider mimosas? They would make a killing! I’m sure they can’t serve booze but really… a killing. If you haven’t tried an apple cider mimosa yet I highly recommend it. All you need is some yummy fresh apple cider (we picked some up at Swan Trail) and champagne or Prosecco. So after a few hours of wrangling children and masks at the apple orchard we came home and a mimosa had never tasted so good. But really, the apple picking process at Swan Trail is super…

Walla Walla Weekend Guide
We spent last weekend in Walla Walla with my brother and his fiancé and it was lovely… lovely to have a kid-free weekend, eat delicious food, taste amazing wine, and get to see where my brother and future sister-in-law are getting married! My little brother and Megan’s husband, Ryan, both attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, so they are experts on the area and helped put together a list of all the spots you don’t want to miss. So, if you have been thinking about taking a trip to Walla Walla or are just looking for a wonderful wine-filled weekend away – here you go (our very VERY favorites our…

A Fun Fall COVID Friendly Meal: Skinny Mini Chicken Pot Pies!
Chicken Pot Pie reminds me of Fall and all the cozy things I love about this season. So, when one of my favorite bloggers, Liz Adams, posted a skinny chicken pot pie recipe a few years ago you better believe I made it and have been making it ever since. I only make it a little less “skinny” by sprinkling Stove Top Stuffing on top and OMG IT’S GOOD. They are so delicious and cute that they would be perfect for hosting a dinner party this Fall or Winter, a Sunday night family dinner or given we ate them last night, they are really great for any occasion or day…

Our Favorite Things to do in SUNCADIA
Pre kids, I didn’t find Suncadia all that exciting. Post kids, it’s the best place ever. It is such a kid friendly, easy destination with so many things to do as a family. We’ve been fortunate to spend a ton of time there with my in-laws and are eager to spend more time! Over the past few years we’ve discovered more great kid friendly activities and given that we spent this last weekend there and stumbled upon a few more fun things, I thought we should share! And I’m not even talking about ALL of the events Suncadia itself puts on… like bringing in a Build a Bear workshop, Santa…

Logan’s Dino-Mite 1st Birthday
We attended my friend Tanna’s daughter’s first birthday party this last weekend and the event was just too cute not to share. I LOVED the dinosaur theme for a little girl’s first birthday – so CUTE and different! From the theme to decor to serving dinner and treats from my two favorite places in Cashmere, I am requesting Tanna throws my next party and showing you all the DINO-MITE details below. First things first, we walked up to the party and were greeted by the cutest entry sign with dinosaur footprints leading us into the celebration. Tanna made the sign herself (!) by tracing the invitation with THIS contraption. I…

Dazzle Dry Nails
Have you tried Dazzle Dry Nails yet?! It’s a no chip 4 step nail polish process that doesn’t used any harsh chemicals and dries within 5 minutes! And most importantly, it acts just like a gel manicure, lasting up to 2 weeks! AKA it’s amazing. I was first introduced to Dazzle Dry by my aunt last year who brought it to our Annual Favorite Things Christmas Tea as her favorite thing. Since then, Megan gave our future sister-in-law Laura the set for her birthday and she has been raving about it. After Laura using and loving it, and after my dip manicure chipped right before my brother’s wedding, UGH, I…

A Blessed Baptism Brunch for Jack
Jack was baptized yesterday, and while the event was originally supposed to take place in April and it was a little strange being at mass with a mask on, it was a lovely Sunday celebrating out sweet babe with family. We hosted a brunch at my house after mass and it felt just perfect; a very special thank you to Megan and mom for all of their help! The first thing that made this brunch all come together was Seattle Farm Tables. These beautiful tables are hand made and family owned by one of my sister’s oldest friends, Azure. Our moms met in an infant swim class when they both…

ALL our Recent Amazon Orders
We order a lot on Amazon – just ask our husbands. While Chris and Ryan might not love it, we think we find all sorts of deals and steals and just great things for the kids, our households and ourselves! So, we thought you might appreciate a little round up of our recent purchases and the things we find ourselves using all of the time right now. For the kids: 3 Pack of Silicone Toddler and Baby Plates – It finally occurred to me that I only had 2 of these and needed to order more because they are the best and I use them for every meal. Easy Lunchbox…
