• Aunt Janet’s One Pot Meal

Originally my Aunt Janet’s recipe, this is a super easy family favorite meal that we grew up eating and I still make regularly. After being in Chelan for 10 days, I came home to an empty fridge and zero desire to meal plan for the week. That being said, I also really needed groceries and some vegetables in our lives. So, I Instacarted (can I make that a verb?) all the easy things I could think of that would get us through the week without much effort AKA Aunt Janet’s One Pot Meal. So long story short, this is the perfect meal to serve last minute that requires minimal ingredients…

  • Our Favorite Outdoor Toddler Items (And what I wear while I’m chasing them around)

We buy ALL the things as parents; some are a hit and some are a miss. These are our biggest hits and the things that we truly use multiple times a day anytime it isn’t pouring rain outside: Bounce House – My mom told me I was insane when we bought this for Joey for his 3rd birthday but I think it’s been our best parent purchase ever. We use it both indoors and outdoors so the kids can get all their crazy energy out rain or shine! Scooter – We take a scooter ride every. single. day. Joey recently upgraded to the razor scooter but started on a 3…

  • Girlfriend Goodie Bags

Happy Friday! I’m spending the weekend with girlfriends (and children) in Chelan and made little goodie bags for us to enjoy while we are here. All of the necessities for a weekend of fun in the sun. Whether you’re planning a girls weekend, bachelorette party or a birthday celebration hopefully this provides some inspiration! Also… my friends’ husbands will be there and mine will not (he’s going to my brother’s bachelor party) and I am slightly terrified to have the boys on a mini vacay solo so wish me luck! Here are all my goodie bag necessities: Retro Sunglasses Tie Dye Tees (homemade – directions here) My favorite Pink Bubbly…

  • Baked Tacos with Three Fresh Salsas

Have you ever baked your tacos? I just started because Chris requested tacos for dinner a few weeks ago and it’s a game changer! Tacos taste THAT must better after they are toasted in the oven. The cheese melts which helps keep the meat and beans in place and the taco shells gets nice and crispy. They are a great way to feed a crowd because you can have them all ready at the same time so people can just grab their own taco and load it up with what they want. I served baked tacos for dinner one night in Lake Chelan over the Fourth of July and Megan…

  • My Favorite Wedding Details

Chris and I celebrated our 6th anniversary yesterday and I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite things from our wedding… there are aspects I would change, things that were fine but these are the things I loved so much and hope they can provide a little inspiration in your own wedding planning process! On that same note, I am SO sorry for everyone who had their wedding planned and had to reschedule or cancel because of Covid – the wedding planning process is difficult enough without the stress of a PANDEMIC – I can’t even imagine.  Intimate Rehearsal Dinner             We kicked off our destination wedding…

  • Prosecco Pops

Who can say no to a boozy popsicle on a hot day? A boozy and patriotic Prosecco Pop? Even better. These tasty treats can be made with any fresh fruit you have lying around, but given it’s the week of 4th of July, I’m sticking with red, white and blue. Naturally, if I am making Megan and I popsicles I need to make the kids popsicles too otherwise sh*t would hit the fan. So the good news is I have two tasty and simple popsicle recipes for you just in time for the warm (fingers crossed) holiday weekend ahead. Prosecco Pops Ingredients Silicone Popsicle Molds 2 mini bottles of Prosecco…

  • The Best Enchiladas

Craving enchiladas? Thanks to my lovely Aunt Mary, we have been making and eating the creamiest most delicious enchiladas for years. They are truly so good and so perfect for serving a crowd. I can’t recommend them enough. That being said, it does require some time filling and rolling all of the enchiladas, but if you have the time they are 100% worth it and better than any enchilada I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant. They also freeze well (without the cream), can be made in advance and are a great option for entertaining guests or taking to a new mom. On the other hand, if you are in the…

  • My Festive & Inexpensive 4th of July Purchases

We spend the week of Fourth of July in Lake Chelan at my parent’s cabin and I do my best to have us all wearing red, white and blue the entire time we are there. It’s one of my favorite weeks of the year, helped by the fact Chris and my anniversary is the 5th, and having us all in coordinating red, white and blue just makes it that much better! Here are the new fun festive pieces I found for my fam and myself for the lake this year: Fitted Tie-Dye Ribbed Tank / Old Navy Rose in the USA Graphic Tee / Vintage Crew Neck Red White and…

  • Summer of Hard Kombucha

It’s the summer of Hard Kombucha! Have you tried it yet? It is light, fizzy, fruity and delightful. With varying levels of alcohol content and supposedly a healthy alternative to beer and wine with beneficial probiotics, prebiotics and adaptogens – what’s not to love?! We are big fans around here; so much so that we just ordered and received all the supplies to make our own! Chris introduced me to Booch Craft after discovering it in LA and I love it so much it took me a while to try any other hard kombucha brand. I recently did my research and rounded up every brand I could find at my…
