Gift Ideas for Active Toddlers
Jack is turning two! If you know my boys, you know they are VERY active little dare devils. Given that Jack is my second wild little boy, I have a little experience in the “active toddler” department and thankfully we already have a bunch of these items that Jack will get as Joey outgrows them. And let’s be honest, our kids don’t NEED anything. Joe and Jack have more than enough to keep them entertained at home BUT these ideas are too fun not to share and the handful we already own have been some of Joe’s very favorites. My goal with gifts is to buy larger items that are actually used and less things with a bunch of small pieces that just turn into clutter… And with Jack’s May birthday, I am selfishly giving him things that will hopefully keep him busy outdoors all Summer long.
- Ride on Recycling Truck – all of Jack’s dreams are about to come true…
- Soccer Ball Net Set – the boys are super into soccer and are always using chairs, trees etc. as goals so I think these will get a lot of use this Summer!
- Garden Tool Set – Jack loves working in the yard with Dad
- Ambulance and Doctor Kit – Joe received this for his second birthday and it’s still played with!
- Mini Garbage Cans – I gave these to Jack a few months ago and he is obsessed. If you have a garbage truck loving babes in your life – these will be a hit.
- Trampoline or Trampoline with slide – a bigger ticket item that I am still trying to get Chris on board with BUT I think it would provide hours of entertainment and a great way to get all the wild wiggles out
- Bounce House – the best and most-used purchase we have made as parents that can be used both in and outside.
- Helmet – Jack is just as excited about the scooter as he is the helmet. He is constantly asking to wear his brothers.
- Micro Scooter – Jack can’t wait to have his own scooter! He is always trying to ride Joe’s which is a disaster…
- Lawn Mower Bubble Blower – we have two! The boys use them all the time.
- Strider Bike – Jack hasn’t figured it out quite yet but he’s trying – Joe used to fly on this thing – and still does when he isn’t feeling his training wheels.
- Scooter with seat – Grandma is getting Jack a similar scooter with a seat until he gets the hang of the scooter!
- (not pictured) Ice Cream Cart or Food Truck – the kids love their play kitchen and I think these would be a huge hit! Also nice that they are mobile so you can use them outdoors (unlike the kitchen).
