Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
Mother’s Day is just around the corner and we all deserve a gift now more than ever! If you need a reminder, its on May 10th this year, because admittedly at this point in the COVID-19 madness I have personally lost track of days, dates, and time. The act of mothering right now – no matter what stage – is extra difficult without our typical external support networks and routines to rely on. And in many cases, we are not only performing our roles as mothers but simultaneously acting as academic teachers and working from home at the same time.
So, if I am being honest, what I really want for Mother’s Day is some R&R in the form of a weekend with my sister Mallory at the Posthotel Leavenworth where we can sit at the spa and neither work emails nor children’s schoolwork can reach me.
But, given that the Posthotel is closed until at least May 5th and we have absolutely no idea what the next few months of life are going to look like, here are some other Mother’s Day gift ideas that Mallory and I are eyeing (hint, hint Ryan and Chris!).
Mallory wants a case (she actually said a flat?!?) of Boochcraft. Personally, I’m not a kombucha drinker but if I were, why not drink it spiked?
Mallory also thought a case of Tranche’s Pink Pape rose was a great idea. In fact, the winery offers a 1.5L bottle for special occasions – that is a gift I can get behind. Especially if paired with a pair of Glassybaby’s drinkers. This Mama Drinker is especially well-suited for the occasion.
Nordstrom is currently selling a fun brand of workout gear called Girlfriend Collective with lots of bright colors. Mallory and I would both love a matching set in this brand perhaps with a coordinating Nike hat and/or Yeti coffee mug in a fun color.
We both would like some new rubber Birkenstocks in a fun color. Have you worn this style? They are amazing. I bought them in white last year and literally didn’t take them off all summer.
