Surprise Girls Night at The Woodmark Hotel

Shockingly, my husband surprised me with a girls night last weekend at The Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland. I’m sharing today because (1) I’m still surprised he did such a thing and (2) because it made for a lovely and easy little night away! If you aren’t familiar with The Woodmark Hotel on Carillon Point – you need to check it out! Amazing views, spa, wine, and great food? These are all the things I want when I’m not with my children. It made for a wonderful girls night but also would be a lovely getaway for a couple! Heres what we did….

We started the evening with a glass of bubbly and cheese plate at Le Grand Bistro Americain and then hopped over to our reservation at COMO. Both restaurants are waterfront and delicious – one French and one Italian – you can’t go wrong! COMO has their own boat and will you pick you up for dinner… Sip on your favorite bubbly while your captain takes you across the lake to dinner. I mean, how lovely does that sound?

After dinner we retired to our room and the snack closet at the Woodmark. I’m not joking about the snack closet; the Woodmark has a pretty pantry stocked with every late night snack you could ever need. My husband was surprised we didn’t go out after dinner… No honey, we are old ladies and getting in our pajamas and having snacks was WAY more appealing.

While I would love to sleep in, my body doesn’t do that anymore, so we were up early with coffee and breakfast sandwiches in hand before 8 am. Starbucks and Carillon Kitchen are right next to the hotel for easy breakfasts or walk along the water into downtown Kirkland for more options. We used to live in Kirkland and it is still one of my favorite places to walk and run! While we would have loved to take advantage of the Spa and more kid-free time, we had a baby sprinkle to set up!
