Two Local Gems

We are a day late posting because #MothersDay, but during the few two weekends we have frequented two Northeast Seattle gems that we would be remiss not to share: The Bryant Corner Café & Bakery and Tubs Gourmet Subs. Plus, local restaurants need ALL our love right now, so if you find yourself Northeast Seattle make sure to stop by!

The Bryant Corner Café & Bakery

We took the whole crew to The Bryant Corner Café & Bakery for brunch two Sundays ago. With outdoor seating available, bunny pancakes for the kids, and large yummy cocktails (mimosas and Bloody Marys for the win!) that come with umbrellas and plastic monkeys that can entertain children for hours. The restaurant is VERY family friendly, its menu is affordable, and often frequented by UW Husky athletes at dinner time which Sam and Emma think is very cool. Bryant Corner‘s To Go Cocktails are also not to be missed (or their avocado toast, YUM, check out the picture below)!

Tubs Gourmet Subs

Mallory and I requested Tubs Gourmet Subs for Mother’s Day lunch. Chris (Mallory’s husband) has been visiting this sandwich shop since high school and admittedly without his recommendation I would never have stopped by this hidden gem located in a Lake City Way strip mall. These are probably fighting words, but I even dare to write “Best Sandwich in Seattle”. Highly recommend the #Cajun, #TexasTurkey, and #ChickenAmiga if you find yourself placing an order. Ryan and I make sure to incorporate a Tubs to-go sandwich order for all of Sam’s flag football games at Nathan Hale High School. Tubs also has a Lynnwood location if that happens to be more in your wheelhouse.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! And, if you happen to stop by The Bryant Corner Café & Bakery and Tubs Gourmet Subs, please let us know what you think of our two local gem recommendations.
