The Best Coffee Cake Ever
Trust me when I say this is the best coffee cake ever. A good friend gave us this recipe years ago and it is now staple at every family function including our future sister-in-laws bachelorette party this last weekend. This was devoured so quickly I wasn’t even able to get a picture of the whole cake. It is so moist and delicious and the only other word I can think to describe it is yummmm. We know you will love it as much as we do!
Ingredients
Cake
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 1 large instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3/4 cup oil
- 3/4 cup water
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbls milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp butter flakes
Directions
Mix all cake ingredients together except the sugar and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, mix 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 tsp cinnamon. Grease a bundt pan and put 1/3 batter in bottom of pan and then 1/2 of cinnamon sugar mixture evenly on top. Repeat until batter and cinnamon sugar mixture are gone. Bake at 350 for 35 to 45 minutes. The top of the coffee cake should crack slightly and spring back to touch. Let cool for ten minutes and then turn over onto a plate and loosen edges.
Mix 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tbls milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp butter flakes. Pour icing over the top of coffee cake.
