Gift Ideas for Active Toddlers
Jack is turning two! If you know my boys, you know they are VERY active little dare devils. Given that Jack is my second wild little boy, I have a little experience in the “active toddler” department and thankfully we already have a bunch of these items that Jack will get as Joey outgrows them. And let’s be honest, our kids don’t NEED anything. Joe and Jack have more than enough to keep them entertained at home BUT these ideas are too fun not to share and the handful we already own have been some of Joe’s very favorites. My goal with gifts is to buy larger items that are…

Par-Tee Time
We spent a kid-free weekend in Suncadia celebrating Chris’ birthday with a few of our dear friends and it was a Par-Tee. Here are all the fun things we did to take your typical Suncadia cabin weekend up a notch: We had Happy Hour at the Coal Shoot Cafe and Pub in Roslyn and then Meat Mike barbequed steaks from Owen’s Meats (Michael’s favorite place) for dinner. Two must stops the next time you find yourself in Suncadia! Saturday morning we woke up early for a Mexican Breakfast Casserole before heading out on a 5 mile walk around Suncadia. Naturally our long walk was followed by a Champagne and Cheese…

Backyard on a Budget
If you’ve been following us on Instagram, you may know that I (Mallory) had the exterior of our house painted this week. The painting project is just finishing up and it looks so much better – I love it! We chose Shermin-Williams Peppercorn (a dark grey blue), Alabaster White trim, and Bathe Blue for our front door. Now that we have a fresh coat of paint and Summer is just around the corner, I am excited to refresh my front porch, back deck and backyard! Unfortunately painting isn’t cheap which means I am on an extra tight budget for any other outdoor upgrades I want to make. So while I’d…

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
Mother’s Day is just around the corner (May 9th if anyone needs a reminder). Are you in need of gift ideas? Lets Wine About It Sister has you covered. Mallory and I love writing this post because it really should be titled “What Do Mallory and Megan Want for Mother’s Day?”. Here is what we came up with (Chris and Ryan, hint, hint)! Mallory wants some fresh and cute Spring sneakers for Mother’s Day. She picked out these and these. Are you or your mom in the market for new kicks? J.Crew just announced a bunch of new arrivals for women, including these cute blouses with ruffles and smocking that…

Favorite Breweries
It’s Chris’s birthday today! So naturally we kicked off his birthday weekend last night at one of our favorite local spots: Burke-Gilman Brewing. We love a good a beer around here and usually end up at one of our favorite breweries at some point over the weekend. There are so many kid and dog-friendly breweries nearby with great outdoor spaces that make for a fun family outing – especially when we can walk or bike to them. We biked to Fremont Brewery last weekend and it was so fun! Our kids even ask to go the brewery (haha); probably because they usually have kid’s milks, lollipops and/or popsicles (before Covid…

Spring Dresses
We just escaped a spring break snow storm in Suncadia but are thankfully back in Seattle where the forecast is all sun. Hallelujah! Spring is finally in the air and we actually have a very full calendar because our little brother is getting married! So what does that mean? We are shopping and wanting all the new springy dresses! And even better – we actually have somewhere to wear them this year! Here are the dresses that are currently filling our online shopping carts: No. 1 Staud Color Block Mini No. 2 Staud Florence Striped Shift No. 3 Free People Sun Baked Swing Dress No. 4 Lake Patio Midi Dress…

Our Favorite Pajamas
Comfortable and cute is always the goal for pajamas, right? We are currently sitting in Suncadia in our matching Nordstrom moonlight pajamas drinking our coffee with no complaints. I think we have all found ourselves in pajamas/loungewear more this year than any other time we can remember. Even with all of the extra loungewear we have been buying the past year, we still think these are softest most comfortable and cutest pajamas that don’t break the bank. Mother’s day is just around the corner and every mama could use a new set of cute and comfy PJs (and a whoooole lot of other things). Here are our very favorites: Nordstrom…

Our two Favorite Breakfast Casseroles & a little Easter Recap
What a wonderful weekend it was! Multiple egg hunts, lots of treats, family, mimosas, food and even a little sunshine. Just how we like it! We spent Saturday in Suncadia with Chris’s family; Suncadia puts on the best Easter egg hunt and festivities. If you get the chance to spend Easter over there, I highly recommend it. It’s the largest Easter egg hunt I’ve seen (separated by age), adult beverages, the Easter bunny, toys for the kids and more. The Easter bunny will also come visit you at your house! Sunday my mom hosted her annual Easter Brunch and it never disappoints. I mean any brunch that includes a beer,…

Our Favorite March Purchases
Happy April! I see a lot of bloggers share their most loved purchases or “top-sellers” over the past month and I find it helpful! So that being said, here are some of Megan and my favorite purchases from the last month or so. It’s a very random collection of things but we hope you love them as much as we do! Kiss Glue on False Nails. I am obsessed! I had to take my last pair off (the matte blue pair linked and pictured) – they stayed on for almost 2 weeks! And look so good! I recommend getting the short length or else they are way too long for…
