Favorite Holiday Trader Joe’s Buys

We love Trader Joe’s all year long but especially during the holidays. Its the best place to buy festive items for kids snacks and school lunches. A great place to pick up hostess or teacher thank you gifts. The only place we like to purchase greeting cards! And our favorite place to pick up items for a holiday cheese or charcuterie board back when communal serving was still a thing.

In order to expedite your next shopping trip, below we have highlighted all of our favorite Trader Joe’s 2020 holiday purchases. Make sure to get to a Trader Joe’s location soon – the seasonal items have a tendency to sell out fast!

And, wow, 2020 has been different for us. I know, understatement of the century, right?!?! Who would have thought a year ago that everyone would be wearing face masks (and making them fashion!), home schooling, and working remotely? And, to top that off, last week we were ironing pajamas and this week taking grocery pictures inside Trader Joe’s. What apocalypse is next?!?! But at least it will be with Cocoa Cream…

Candy Cane Almonds

Megan’s favorite and not just because they match her outfit perfectly. Dark chocolate dipped almond wrapped in white chocolate and then sprinkled with candy cane pieces. So yummy!

Christmas Tortilla Chips

Green trees, red stockings, and white bells. These tortilla chips are not only festive but they also taste great. Perfect for holiday-themed school lunches or Christmas nachos.

Mini Dark Chocolate Mint Stars and Mini Gingerbread People

The perfect size treat to accompany kids’ holiday lunches. These mini cookies will make any meal festive and they they are delicious. Sam and Emma love them!

Peppermint Marshmallows

Tasty, fun and the perfect size bag. Minty with a light pink hue. Might need to make some minty Rice Krispies treats with candy cane sprinkles STAT.

Gingerbread Men Cookie Mug Hangers

I mean no one NEEDS a cookie WITH their hot chocolate but they were too cute to pass up and I blew Joe’s mind when I set this hot cocoa situation down in front of him.

Seasoning Set

How fun is this?! I love all of Trader Joe’s seasoning so I think this would make such a fun gift. And currently the only way you can get your hands on a bottle of TJ’s cocoa cinnamon sugar – YUM! I bought one to give as a gift just not sure if I can part with it…

Cocoa Cream

Also Megan’s favorite and she does all sorts of fun things with it. The best $8.99 we have spent in a long time. Perfect over ice in a glass with a candy rim or mixed into your coffee.

Candy Cane Green Decaf Tea

Not pictured because apparently they are running low on stock if not already out so grab it if you see it! Every year Megan buys enough to keep her tea situation going for the remainder of the year.

All the COOKIES

Megan’s favorite are the Dark Chocolate covered Joe-Joes and I’m excited to try this new peppermint chocolate cookie mix (I’ll report my findings back).

Turmeric and Ginger Juice Shots

No need to be reminded it’s flu season in the middle of pandemic people – might as well stock up on your juice shots every time you there! Even Megan drinks these.

Mini Prosecco Bottles

A great selection of mini sparkling wines – perfect individualized servings for this COVID holiday season (and washing down the juice shots). Also make great stocking stuffers!

Hold the Cone! Peppermint Mini Ice Cream Cones

Jack was perfectly comfortable holding the cones for us.

Greenery

Don’t forget your greens! So many fun options at such a great price. The “Decorate your own tree” and “Grump tree” are some of our favorites this year. Megan also grabbed pine greens for pine infused vodka?……

Successful trip to TJs as always! Let us know if you try any of our holiday buys or if you have a favorite we are missing!
