New week, New nails

I had to finally give up on Gel and Dip nail manicures – I just can’t do it anymore. Don’t get me wrong – I love having them but finding the time to get back to get the polish removed and the amount of time it takes to maintain them has just become way too much of a pain and hassle! Not to mention, it destroys my nails. I did start using Dazzle Dry Nails last year which I love and highly recommend, but it still require me to paint my own nails.

So… Megan and I recently decided to try Fake/False Nails and we LOVE them. I never saw myself trying False nails! I’ve never had acrylic nails and always keep my nails very short and to be totally honest, felt like false nails could look a little cheesy. But we did our did our research and tried two different brands and loved each! I ordered the KISS brand, which you can find on Amazon and just about any drug store, and Megan ordered Static Nails through Nordstrom (also available at staticnails.com).

Here is why we love them:

  • So inexpensive! One package of nails comes with 2 full sets of nails and can cost anywhere from $6 to $16 dollars! SO much less than a gel or dip manicure. Even less than a regular manicure!
  • Easy to put on! And easy to take off! (We use the nail glue provided with the nails.)
  • They last up to a week if not more!
  • Easily shapeable with a nail file! They look so long and scary when you put them on but you can easily file the down to the length and shape you want! Static nails also come in a short length that Megan highly recommends.
  • If you break one, you can easily file down or clip nails to match!
  • They make your hands look so pretty! And cover up any gross cuticles etc.
  • Come in so many fun colors (and shapes if you are into that!)

Have you tried fake nails? Is there another brand we should try! Let us know in the comments below! XO

We all (Az gals) used the Kiss Nails for a few months 2 yrs ago and really liked them but they popped off a lot and at awkward times, so went back to having our Dip nails. Kiss does have a petite size which we used.
