  • Walla Walla Weekend Guide

We spent last weekend in Walla Walla with my brother and his fiancé and it was lovely… lovely to have a kid-free weekend, eat delicious food, taste amazing wine, and get to see where my brother and future sister-in-law are getting married! My little brother and Megan’s husband, Ryan, both attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, so they are experts on the area and helped put together a list of all the spots you don’t want to miss. So, if you have been thinking about taking a trip to Walla Walla or are just looking for a wonderful wine-filled weekend away – here you go (our very VERY favorites our…

  • Our Favorite Things to do in SUNCADIA

Pre kids, I didn’t find Suncadia all that exciting. Post kids, it’s the best place ever. It is such a kid friendly, easy destination with so many things to do as a family. We’ve been fortunate to spend a ton of time there with my in-laws and are eager to spend more time! Over the past few years we’ve discovered more great kid friendly activities and given that we spent this last weekend there and stumbled upon a few more fun things, I thought we should share! And I’m not even talking about ALL of the events Suncadia itself puts on… like bringing in a Build a Bear workshop, Santa…

  • Blue Friday Football Bites

Sunday is the Seahawks’ first game of the 2020 NFL season and we are BIG Seahawks fans over here on Lets Wine About It Sister (okay, Ryan, Sam and Emma are big fans and I like football food). This week, we celebrated the kickoff of the 2020 NFL Season (see what I did there!) and the Seahawks’ upcoming game with an easy football-themed dinner. This year might be an interesting NFL season with no fans in the stands, but isn’t that a great reason to make it extra fun at home? Our football-themed dinner included vegetarian Instant Pot chili using this Pinch of Yum recipe (which unfortunately I would only…

  • Logan’s Dino-Mite 1st Birthday

We attended my friend Tanna’s daughter’s first birthday party this last weekend and the event was just too cute not to share. I LOVED the dinosaur theme for a little girl’s first birthday – so CUTE and different! From the theme to decor to serving dinner and treats from my two favorite places in Cashmere, I am requesting Tanna throws my next party and showing you all the DINO-MITE details below. First things first, we walked up to the party and were greeted by the cutest entry sign with dinosaur footprints leading us into the celebration. Tanna made the sign herself (!) by tracing the invitation with THIS contraption. I…

  • Dazzle Dry Nails

Have you tried Dazzle Dry Nails yet?! It’s a no chip 4 step nail polish process that doesn’t used any harsh chemicals and dries within 5 minutes! And most importantly, it acts just like a gel manicure, lasting up to 2 weeks! AKA it’s amazing. I was first introduced to Dazzle Dry by my aunt last year who brought it to our Annual Favorite Things Christmas Tea as her favorite thing. Since then, Megan gave our future sister-in-law Laura the set for her birthday and she has been raving about it. After Laura using and loving it, and after my dip manicure chipped right before my brother’s wedding, UGH, I…

  • A Blessed Baptism Brunch for Jack

Jack was baptized yesterday, and while the event was originally supposed to take place in April and it was a little strange being at mass with a mask on, it was a lovely Sunday celebrating out sweet babe with family. We hosted a brunch at my house after mass and it felt just perfect; a very special thank you to Megan and mom for all of their help! The first thing that made this brunch all come together was Seattle Farm Tables. These beautiful tables are hand made and family owned by one of my sister’s oldest friends, Azure. Our moms met in an infant swim class when they both…

  • ALL our Recent Amazon Orders

We order a lot on Amazon – just ask our husbands. While Chris and Ryan might not love it, we think we find all sorts of deals and steals and just great things for the kids, our households and ourselves! So, we thought you might appreciate a little round up of our recent purchases and the things we find ourselves using all of the time right now. For the kids: 3 Pack of Silicone Toddler and Baby Plates – It finally occurred to me that I only had 2 of these and needed to order more because they are the best and I use them for every meal. Easy Lunchbox…

  • Hawaiian Sunday Funday

Thanks to Megan, we love a good theme around here, but even the queen of themes wasn’t to thank for this Sunday Funday. I coordinated a play date for Joe with his pal Kennedy, who happens to be my little brother’s fiancé’s niece. Have I told you this wild story yet? My little brother, Michael, is marrying my husband’s childhood best friend/now co-worker’s, sister… I know, it hardly even makes sense to me. But long story short, Laura and Michael got engaged last October in Hawaii and both mine and Laura’s family were there to celebrate the surprise engagement. Sadly, I don’t think we will be going to Maui any…

  • COVID Wedding Details

Planning a COVID wedding? I’m sorry! We celebrated our brother and new sister-in-law Betsy last weekend in Chelan in what was originally supposed to be a beautiful 300 person wedding, plus a weekend of events and celebrating. After much heartache, they decided to proceed with a small family wedding ceremony and dinner. We picked up on a few details that worked well for keeping everyone safe during these scary times and thought someone else might appreciate the tips if they find themselves in a similar predicament. First things first, my parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Karma Vineyards (where I got married!) and offered individual boxes of Fran’s Chocolate Salted…

  • Golf Picnic Date Night

“Oh you are golfing again? I’m coming!” And by golfing I mean driving around in a golf cart on a sunny evening drinking a cold glass of Washington wine and eating a yummy (and cute to boot) pressed Italian picnic sandwich. I don’t golf but after this lovely evening I’m thinking I should! When our husbands said they were going golfing again, my girlfriend and I decided it was time for us to join them. Given the times and lack of food options at this course, I decided to pack a little picnic for each couple. These are tasty and pretty sandwiches, perfect for a picnic or as it turns…
